League Information

Qualifications

Teams ages U10 to U16 are eligible to play provided they meet one of the following criteria:
  • Futsal teams that reached the semifinals of the previous year's US Youth Futsal Northeast Regional Championships
  • Soccer teams currently in the New England Premiership (NEP) 1st or 2nd division
  • Soccer teams currently in the Massachusetts Premier League (MAPLE) 1st or 2nd division (or equivalent)
  • Soccer teams currently in the Super Y, Region 1 or Sub-Region 1
  • Soccer teams that were (in previous year) State Cup finalists in NH or semifinals in MA
Teams that do not meet a criterion listed above may apply to the EPL Competition Committee to be considered. The EPL Technical Director and Competition Committee will make all decisions regarding admittance of special applicants. 

Divisions

Qualified teams will be placed in appropriate divisions, with the possibility of multiple divisions per age group. 

Schedule

Schedules can be accessed on HTG Sports or via the iSports2 app.

Games will be played on Sundays including 8 games over 6 calendar weeks; teams play doubleheaders on a minimum of two dates, especially for "away" games. A single-game championship will be played between the top two teams after the conclusion of the regular season.

Season will begin Dec. 6, 2015 and will conclude Jan. 24, 2016, skipping Dec. 27 and Jan. 17. Championships will take place Jan. 31. The weather fallback date is Feb. 7.

All games will include two 24-minute halves, running time, for full-length 48-minute games.   

Facilities

Teams may request to play more or fewer double-headers.

EPF will be sensitive to scheduling conflicts and will utilize the best available facilities. Venues include but are not limited to: Daley School (Lowell, MA), Fessenden School (Newton, MA), FieldHouse Sudbury (Sudbury, MA), Mansfield Sportsplex (Mansfield, MA), Nashoba Brooks School (Concord, MA), Rockingham Athletic Club (Plaistow, NH), SportsZone (Derry, NH), Yawkey Special Olympics (Marlborough, MA). 

Officials

EPF follows the FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game. It will utilize only US Soccer certified futsal referees and only top officials selected by local and regional assignors. It is intended that all matches U14 and older will include two referees; younger age groups will utilize two referees when possible. 

Advisory Board

The EPF Advisory Board consists of one representative from each participating club or organization with 10 or more teams entered. The goal of the board is to help render decisions that impact the growth and success of the league. 

Competition Committee

The EPF Competition Committee consists of the Technical Director, two Executive Board members and four Advisory Board members. It is responsible for ensuring the competitive standards and balance of the league.  

Fees and Discounts

The general team fee is $895. Take advantage of early registration discounts and enroll your team by Oct. 15 for a savings of $70! Additional discount for teams entering 6-10 ($795/team) or 11/+ ($775/team) sides. Multiple team discount only applies when registered by Oct. 22. Regular registration closes Nov. 16.

Each player will be required to pay $10.50 insurance fee at the time of being added to the team roster.
